Convoso is a commercial cloud contact-center platform built for outbound sales teams. It combines predictive dialing, lead management, compliance tooling and reporting in a hosted service, so a center pays a subscription instead of running its own dialer servers. It is common on US insurance and lead-generation campaigns.
The practical difference from a self-hosted dialer is who maintains it: on a cloud platform the vendor runs the servers, while the center still owns its campaigns, lists, rules and results.
How a floor uses Convoso
A center logs into a web dashboard, uploads lists, builds campaigns and sets dialing, calling-window and recycling rules. Agents work in a browser. Transfers go to queues or to external numbers, for example a US agency buying live transfers. Some US clients ask their offshore vendors to dial from the client's own Convoso account so the client keeps control of lists and recordings.
How it compares to ViciDial in practice
ViciDial is free and fully under your control, but you host it, patch it and tune it. Convoso is paid and hosted, with more built in out of the box. The concepts are the same on both: campaigns, lists, dispositions, dial ratios, AMD, DNC and transfers. Anyone who has run one can learn the other quickly.
Common mistakes
Assuming the platform's compliance tools make the campaign compliant by themselves. They still have to be configured, and consent records still have to exist.
Not mapping disposition names between Convoso and the client's CRM, so reports never match.
Leaving every agent on the same caller-ID pool regardless of campaign.
How it shows up in reports
Convoso reports cover the same ground as any outbound dialer: calls, connects, dispositions, agent time and transfers. When the client runs the account, agree early which reports the offshore floor can see, because a fronter team that cannot see its own transfer quality cannot improve it.
